I’ve been training with Antoinette since September 2013. I decided I needed someone to motivate and direct me down a healthy path. When Antoinette could come to me and we could pretty much train anywhere that was such a plus… the fitness literally comes to your door !!!
I have always been a bit on the chubby side or as I would like to call it curvy. I went from curvy to chunky in my late 20’s as I moved in with my boyfriend and ate what he ate :(. It took me some time and about 10 kilos to realise that it’s true, women and men are very different. We ate the same food and did the same exercise and I grew out and out. And that made me sad and emotional so what did I do… I ate more chocolate and crisps.
I train with Antoinette 2-3 times a week in the mornings and I feel great after each session. My muscles are tired but my head is clear and focused for the day. Antoinette’s introduced me to so many different forms and ways of toning and building up endurance.
Antoinette breaks down the concept of food so simply. She shares amazing clean food recipes, we share ideas on yummy juice recipes, protein recipes or anything on the healthily side of the track. She is not afraid to experiment with food, which makes me more adventurous too.
Antoinette and I went on a ‘Supermarket Safari’. After we did a shop together and went through the labels on nearly every ‘healthy’ product in the supermarket, I learnt so much. I don’t just eat whatever I feel like now, or eat because food is there, I check it and work out, well what’s in those lollies, what are thickeners, do I really want E123 and Thickeners in my tummy…. no…
My lifestyle has changed in that I walk everywhere now or if it’s longer then an hour’s walk, I’ll ride my bike. My husband and I now do so much more as a couple and enjoy being healthy and fit!!
I’ve literally gone from couch potato to being full of energy. It’s so true the more exercise and clean food you eat the more amazing and full of beans you are!! Antoinette is testament to that!!
In short Antoinette has made a dramatic and fabulous change to my life. I’m thinner, happier and healthier now. I was in the best shape ever for my wedding day in January 2015, and for that I will be forever thankful that I found Antoinette.

I’ve been training with Antoinette for over 3 years now. We train twice a week and on other days I will walk my dogs. Antoinette will vary the training depending on how I am feeling. Some sessions are harder than others or we will spend a session doing just Pilates. My activity level was less before I started Personal Training with Antoinette
I have also learnt to watch what I eat and my eating regime is different now. My lapses are less frequent and I am more aware of their effect. I am careful not to eat foods with too much fat and sugar and I have 2 alcohol-free days each week, overall I drink less alcohol.
My lifestyle changed in that I am more mindful of the need to exercise, get enough sleep, and have a well balanced diet.
Having Antoinette as my trainer has been the best health decision I have made. She encourages without pushing, she varies my program and suggests alternatives when I have aches and pains. She’s the best!

Experiencing the retreat in Daylesford, for me, was just perfect. The retreat brought cleansing to the body (physically, emotionally and mentally), which occurred in the perfect surrounds of nature; breathing fresh clean air, seeing trees from every window and hearing bird calls.
The house was brilliant for this experience – it had a great vibe and was perfect to just relax in. I loved the meditation room and dining set up….there was enough space to enjoy group time as well as alone time. I loved having my own room too, especially as the window looked out onto the forest, which was so lovely. The lounge was comfortable and a perfect space for hanging out before bed time. The water pressure was perfect in the shower.
Food was one of the highlights for me. The flavours, freshness and variety surprised me. I loved that everything was super healthy. I enjoyed every meal and snack, and whilst I could say that there was more than we needed, I managed to taste every single thing because it was so delicious. I have come away feeling inspired and wanting to try some new things with food. Can’t thank you enough for cooking so well for us.
I’ve never been to a retreat, so I did not really know what to expect. When I saw the retreat details and cost on paper, I thought that it seems like good value for money, however now that I’ve experienced it, I feel that it was cheap for what you get… but I would not have known that until I experienced it. In particular because of the quality of food and sessions that we were given.
I absolutely loved the meditation session. I felt my energy shifting and my heart opening up. It was in a comfortable room with a lovely feel and cosy enough for all of us to be comfortable and warm during the session. I’ve had a fair amount of meditation practice over the years, but this session taught me some new techniques that I had not come across before. The teacher ran through 3 different guided meditations which were beautifully run. It was a great experience for me.
I do not normally like to exercise and will tend to avoid it as best as I can as I don’t like feeling pushed beyond my physical ability, especially in front of others, so I had some reservations about the yoga/pilates sessions, however I was pleasantly surprised. The yoga teacher’s gentle guidance and support was comforting. They did not push beyond comfort at all, so I actually enjoyed these sessions. Also, because the group was so small I felt like I was getting a 1 on 1 session with the teachers. I really enjoyed the exercise and still feel the benefits of it now, 3 days later.
I’m not just saying it…but I really would not change a thing. The food, the activities, the venue and just absolutely everything was so perfect for me.
I thought that I was pretty healthy before this experience, but I have come away with new eyes, new ideas and an inspiration that makes me look forward to my life back at home now, there’s so many things that I want to do differently. I’m going to introduce more variety of food into my days. I’m going to eat lots of yummy food that is healthy for me and easy to make and unbelievably delicious (thanks for sharing the recipes!!).
Previously I did not like exercising, but I learnt that I can enjoy it and that it does not have to be strenuous to achieve results. The strength and increased flexibility that I feel after just a few gentle sessions is surprising to me. That motivates me to do a little, regularly. This experience is life changing for me because it’s shown me how easily I can become a better version of myself. That’s priceless.
