Experiencing the retreat in Daylesford, for me, was just perfect. The retreat brought cleansing to the body (physically, emotionally and mentally), which occurred in the perfect surrounds of nature; breathing fresh clean air, seeing trees from every window and hearing bird calls.
The house was brilliant for this experience – it had a great vibe and was perfect to just relax in. I loved the meditation room and dining set up….there was enough space to enjoy group time as well as alone time. I loved having my own room too, especially as the window looked out onto the forest, which was so lovely. The lounge was comfortable and a perfect space for hanging out before bed time. The water pressure was perfect in the shower.
Food was one of the highlights for me. The flavours, freshness and variety surprised me. I loved that everything was super healthy. I enjoyed every meal and snack, and whilst I could say that there was more than we needed, I managed to taste every single thing because it was so delicious. I have come away feeling inspired and wanting to try some new things with food. Can’t thank you enough for cooking so well for us.
I’m not just saying it…but I really would not change a thing. The food, the activities, the venue and just absolutely everything was so perfect for me.
I thought that I was pretty healthy before this experience, but I have come away with new eyes, new ideas and an inspiration that makes me look forward to my life back at home now, there’s so many things that I want to do differently. I’m going to introduce more variety of food into my days. I’m going to eat lots of yummy food that is healthy for me and easy to make and unbelievably delicious (thanks for sharing the recipes!!).
Previously I did not like exercising, but I learnt that I can enjoy it and that it does not have to be strenuous to achieve results. The strength and increased flexibility that I feel after just a few gentle sessions is surprising to me. That motivates me to do a little, regularly. This experience is life changing for me because it’s shown me how easily I can become a better version of myself. That’s priceless.
